Peer Review and Editorial Procedure
Peer review is a fundamental component of the publication process at C3S Publishers. It ensures the highest standards of academic quality, integrity, and scientific rigor. All manuscripts submitted to C3S journals undergo a strict and thorough peer-review process conducted by independent experts in the relevant field.
Upon submission, the manuscript first undergoes a technical pre-check by the Editorial Office to ensure compliance with journal guidelines, formatting requirements, and ethical standards.
Following this, an appropriate Academic Editor (e.g., Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, or Guest Editor) is assigned to conduct an editorial assessment. At this stage, the Academic Editor may:
- Proceed with peer review,
- Request revisions prior to peer review, or
- Reject the manuscript if it falls outside the journal's scope or does not meet minimum quality standards.
If the manuscript proceeds, the Editorial Office coordinates a single-blind or double-blind peer-review process, depending on the journal's policy. A minimum of two independent expert reviewers are invited to evaluate the manuscript.
Authors are expected to address all reviewer comments thoroughly. Where necessary, revised manuscripts may undergo additional rounds of peer review. The final decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection) is made by the Academic Editor.
Accepted manuscripts proceed to professional copy-editing, language editing, formatting, and proofreading prior to publication.Reviewers' Profile and Responsibilities
